New adventures - Bring It On Trip - Space Available (Space A) Travel to Germany

“Two things define you: your patience when you have nothing and your attitude when you have everything.” —George Bernard Shaw

After 2 days of canceled flights, we finally got seats on a C-17. It was touch and go for a while as we were the last 2 people to get seats. Only 4 retirees made it and about 20 people were still waiting for a flight.

I was a bit anxious to fly overseas on a cargo plane, but it was efficient and as you can see, we had a lot of leg room!

Tips for Space A Travel out of Dover

  1. Be patient and be kind — there are maintenance issues and mission changes that impact flights.

  2. The Dover Passenger Terminal airmen (air people ☺️) are fantastic, patient, kind and super helpful! So, in return be patient and kind as they are not there to take care of us, but to take care of an important mission for the military.

  3. Bring a blanket and some warm clothes - it gets a bit chilly on those flights.

  4. Enjoy the boxed lunch - the turkey sandwiches, with or without bread (for those who are Gluten Free or just watching their carbs), were quite good.

  5. Don’t forget to download some music or movies, and ensure all devices are charged, as there were no charging stations on this aircraft!
