"Despite all I have seen and experienced, I still get the same simple thrill out of glimpsing a tiny patch of snow." - Edmund

Tip #1 - Even though it was touristy , Santa Claus Village is worth a visit , especially if you need to work off your jet lag after traveling long distances the day before.
Tip #2 - If you like fish, definitely eat the traditional grilled salmon! Absolutely awesome!
Tip#3 - Go to an ice bar and enjoy a shot in an ice glass. It's a once in a lifetime experience!
Tip#4 - When traveling to a new country, take time to learn a few words, such as excuse me (anteeksi), thank you (kitos), hello (terve), and cheers (kippis). Most people speak English; however, it is always polite to use the native language when you can.
Due to Jet lag, we slept in on our first day and then voyaged out to the touristy, Santa Claus Village… we posed on the Arctic Circle and explored Snowman World. We were captivated by the beautiful snow and ice art, slid down the snow ramps, and enjoyed ourselves like kids.
For lunch, we went to an authentic salmon hut and had wood-grilled salmon. For dessert, an original Finnish dish of creamy cheese with berry jam. Then, a walk to visit the reindeer and admire the forest. Finally, back to Snowman World for shots of espresso vodka and gin. Each served in shot glasses made of ice.
