"In the sweetness of friendship let there be laughter, and sharing of pleasures. For in the dew of little things the heart finds its morning and is refreshed." -- Khalil Gibran

Night out enjoying a lovely meal

We kicked off our trip with a fun bike ride around town. We checked out all the cool spots, like the oldest tree, the lighthouse, a WWII bunker, a state park, and a winery. It was a great way to learn and have some laughs!

On our second day, we went to WildWood. Jack spent time there as a pre-teen with his mom, siblings, and grandparents. Apparently, my parents celebrated their honeymoon there too!

We had a fabulous time with old friends creating new memories, while camping at the US Coast Guard Cape May RV Park and bicycling back and forth to visit with Lorie & Frank, and their adorable doggie - Bella.

5 Tips for visiting Cape May

  1. Camping is a great way to save money, and if you’re military or retired, you should definitely check out the Coast Guard RV Park. It’s a small base, but everyone is super friendly and there’s some really cool history there.

  2. Bring your bike! Cape May is a cyclist’s paradise.

  3. Relax and soak up the sun - the beach is a paradise!

  4. Cape May is a gem - it’s historic, charming, and oh-so-quaint!

  5. If you’ve got little ones or you’re in the mood for a fun-filled day at the beach, head to Wildwood!
