My inspiration this week... as George Moore and Maya Angelou note -- no matter how much we travel and experience new things, coming home and spending time with friends and family is really what sustains us!

This past week, I had the amazing opportunity to spend time with Autumn (step-daughter), Justin (son-in-law) and our granddaughter, Mackenzie -- who just turned 24! I am always so impressed to see them enjoying and thriving in life. Mackenzie is an amazing young woman who I am so very proud of!

I also had the pleasure of spending time with some of my BFF's parents.

The first is a farmer and 90 years old. I have known this amazing man since I was about 4-5 years old! He has so much wisdom and life experiences to share! Second, I spent some time with my other friend's mom and dad. Her dad also provided many stories and some good laughs. He bragged about his young adulthood and the crazy things he and his wife did when they were young!

I am so appreciative that they want to share their amazing stories — they are true gifts. Of importance, I am grateful for my friends (Kelli and Denise) who have shared their families with me all these years and have blessed me with a chance to give back to them.
