Visiting friends in South Carolina and celebrating Jack's mom's 90th in Florida

December was a delightful month spent with friends and family, and it was followed by an unexpected trip to Costa Rica (details in the next update).

We rented a car and traveled to Hollywood, SC (close to Charleston) to visit my wonderful friend and mentor, Bill Howell, and his delightful wife, Barnie, whom I have known throughout my entire career. We had a wonderful time reconnecting, sharing stories, and simply enjoying each other's company. They treated us to an incredible carriage ride around Charleston, where we learned a great deal about the history of this beautiful city, and spent the evenings indulging in fantastic drinks and food. It was truly amazing to reconnect and spend time with them!

Afterward, we traveled south to Florida to celebrate Jack's mom's 90th birthday with her. What an incredible woman! Thanks go to Jack's sister, Karen, for putting the Birthday dinner together!
