"Khao Phing Kan, (Thailand) also known as James Bond Island, is a geological marvel where towering limestone karsts rise dramatically from the emerald waters, creating a surreal landscape that is truly breathtaking." -- Unknown

"Singapore is one of the greatest places in the world." -- Henry Golding

Part 2 of cruise -- Phuket, Thailand to Penang, Malaysia to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to Singapore

Phuket, Thailand

In Phuket, Thailand, we took a short trip to Phang Nga Bay. We saw Khao Phing Kan (James Bond Island) and Panyi Village (a village built on stilts in the Bay). They were both stunning!

Penang, Malaysia

Our next stop was Penang, Malaysia, a place often called the “Pearl of the Orient.” We joined a UNESCO Heritage Walk with a super fun guide. Malaysia is a gorgeous country with friendly people, and Penang is a fantastic modern Asian city.

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

After docking at Port Klang, Malaysia, we hopped on a bus to Kuala Lumpur, the bustling capital city. We were blown away by the vibrant culture and stunning beauty of the place. Jack was especially thrilled because his favorite restaurant was right there!

Singapore

Our cruise ended in Singapore, and it was an absolute blast! The city was so modern and unique, with amazing architecture. The food was delicious, and the streets were so clean and bustling with friendly people. On our first day, we downloaded a “VoiceMap” walking tour and explored the city on our own. It was so much fun! On our second day, we took an amazing bike tour called the “Lion City Bike Tour of Singapore.” It was an incredible experience and we learned so much about the city. We really hope to visit Singapore again someday!

5 Things to Consider when Traveling to Phuket, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore

  1. Phuket is famous for its gorgeous beaches, but we didn’t get a chance to check them out during our trip. Instead, we had an awesome James Bond adventure!

  2. Malaysia was a perfect blend of Thailand and Singapore. You’ll find stunning beauty and rich culture and it won’t break the bank.

  3. Singapore is a city that really stands out. It’s super green and super modern, and is definitely the cleanest city I’ve ever been to. But, it can be a bit pricey. If you’re looking to save some money, stick to the local markets for food. You’ll find some really delicious and affordable options there.

  4. If you’re planning a trip from December through March, be prepared for scorching and humid weather. Still it wasn't too hot for us; remember to stay hydrated and take breaks to avoid burnout.

  5. Just a heads up, your flight back from Singapore is gonna be a long one; brace yourself for some jet lag!
